Goals

I believe that setting goals is very important if you truly wish to achieve desired results.  One of the best ways to achieve goals is to write them down and tell them to as many of your peers as you dare.  Naming and sharing are the two best ways to begin turning wishes and dreams into tangible goals... and reality.

Goals for 2008

  1. Bring my weight into the 230s by December 31, 2008.  I began 2008 weighing 250.

  2. Exercise regularly (at least 3x weekly). Increase intensity.

  3. Memorize at least two dozen healthy "from scratch" recipes.

  4. Minimize/eliminate from my diet: high fructose corn syrup, sodium nitrate, msg, hydrogenated oils.

  5. Prepare budget regularly with my wife.

  6. Establish emergency fund (3-6 months of expenses).

Goals for 2007

This year I have three main goals.  They are:

God of grace and God of glory, On Thy people pour Thy power. Crown Thine ancient Church's story; Bring her bud to glorious flower. Grant us wisdom; Grant us courage For the facing of this hour, For the facing of this hour.
- Fosdick, Harry Emerson (1878-1969)
