Grainger Bagpipes

Here are some "before" photos of a set of Grainger and Campbell bagpipes that I am cleaning up to sell.  The only clue I have regarding their age is that the previous owner says they were purchased used by him in the late 1960s.  Here is a pdf of the brochure and price list included with the pipes (13MB PDF).

The pipes were stored for years in San Antonio, Texas in relatively low humidity.  There is quite a bit of cracking on them.  However, I think they will make a nice set of first pipes or spare pipes.  When I am finished seasoning the sticks, I plan to reinforce the cracked areas with titanium/nickel orthodontic wire.

I actually thought I was going to be able to save the original bag.  It was loosening up nicely with seasoning on the inside and Vaseline on the outside.  Unfortunately, there were two black spots on the bag.  I assume this was either seasoning that had come through or something had been spilled on the bag (as there was black residue in the storage box too).  When I inflated the pipes and was working the leather, two leaks developed on both black spots.
